Spring Harbor Middle School hopes to design and construct and environmentally sustainable green house on school property. The green house would be fully incorporated into the school’s environmental mission and be used to grow native plants that would be used in restoration projects throughout Dane County.

Inspiring Students Through the Life and Music of Jazz Legend, Mary Lou Williams
MMSD Teaching & Learning

MMSD Schools and alternative programs (Cherokee Middle, West High, Toki Middle and Spring Harbor Middle; AAETO and Work and Learn) will participate in a community –wide celebration of Mary Loug Williams, the most important female musician in jazz history. Partnering with Madison’s Centennial Coordinating Committee and the UW Office of Multicultural Arts Initiatives, this project will provide innovative ways to excite students about music, poetry, and history.
