FMPS provided a grant to Leopold Elementary School to fund its Open Schoolhouse program. This program offers parents, and students, fun and enriching activities weekly. Families can access library materials, take computer classes, improve their English language skills, and benefit from various other programs. Leopold staff will be working these evening events to provide parents insight into helping their kids with homework, literacy and math games that can be played at home, and to help low-income parents deal with poverty through resume-writing classes, nutrition and budgeting workshops, etc. The great thing about this program is that it brings together educators, families, and community in a comprehensive way to improve safety, health, and education. FMPS is excited to support this awesome program!
