Would like to purchase simultaneous translation equipment which will allow us to increase our opportunities to communicate with ease with families for whom English is a second language. Bridging the gap will assist in ensuring families feel comfortable and that language is not a barrier to parents becoming active participants in their student's life.

The funds would purchase the "Get Your Ship Curriculum" and 700 student reflection books which teaches character education through use of spoken word, hip-hop music, and culturally relevant curriculum. 3) Purchase of a Smartboard and data projector.

1. Money for field trips to cover cosots of busses and admission to educational events - our students seldom go on field trips. With a student demographic that includes 90% students of poverty, it is difficult to ask families for money for field trips. 2. Classroom sets of books with a range of topices and grade levels (Grade 5+) for 12 classrooms with 20 students each.
